    CONNECTIONS

One thing that really has become apparent to me personally as President of the ACE Camera Club is the amazing breadth of skill and entrepreneurship we have throughout our community.

The problem is that we're not making anywhere near enough effort to harness all that untapped energy and ability for the greater good of the community.     We need to find a way of creating a network of connections that effectively brings together all of these skills, ideas and resources in a way that is easy to access and share.

There are an increasing number of initiatives being developed but in my opinion we have only scratched the surface and there's a lot more to be done before we can claim any real success.

Our club has a commitment to supporting events and individuals who are working hard to make Albany and the Great Southern an even better place to live and work, and for visitors to enjoy the iconic tourist destination it deserves to be.

It's important to us all to grow employment opportunities, encourage the arts, health and leisure activities, as well as provide support for youth and mental health initiatives.

We live in rapidly changing times, and we need to be highly adaptable and forward thinking if we are to take full advantage of the many opportunities that are right there for the taking.

Our club has moved from the emphasis on the individual to the wider community, and we've found it to be a very satisfying and productive experience for all.

It's just about building a more connected and sharing community at every level.
