The ACE AGM

Our club held it's AGM on Tuesday evening and most of the previous years office bearers were re-elected with one retirement and one new member welcomed to the team.

The club continues it's successful formula focused on community involvement and learning through the practical application of hands-on photography.

As a club we're keen to minimise the rules in as many areas as possible and to keep competition a fun thing rather than anything serious.   Last year we held a fun competition and all members were awarded a first and shared equally in the prize which was a box of chocolates.

Each year we award a trophy to a member who has made a significant contribution to the club in any of a number of ways.
This year the award was presented to Colin Lowe who was a foundation member of the club and over the past four years has continually amazed our members and the public who have marveled at the huge number of ingenious cameras he has made out of recycled materials, nuts and vegetables.

Colins photographs are equally unique and all based on film other than the demo shots demonstrating the construction process of the cameras.

We have so many members who are making excellent progress in their photography that for the first time we thought we should recognise one of our members who has consistently come close in the vote.

Susanne Fergusson was awarded an Achievement Certificate for the way she has progressed her skills and the enthusiasm she has shown in attending events and participating in club activities.

Congratulations to Colin and Susanne for a job well done and thanks to all our talented members for making this club the very special place it is.
