PORONGURUP WINE FESTIVAL 2020 EVENT

An abundance of talent, great wines and local produce was once again on show at the annual Porongurup Wine Festival which was held at the Karrivale Vineyards.

Local Wineries and food tents were kept busy thoughout the day and the Chef's Tent and Wine Masterclass demonstrations were extremely well attended.

Live music was provided by Simone Keane and Ellie Honeybone along with 'The Skansters' band while the youngsters were kept entertained by the always popular Jamie the Clown.

One of the highlights is the Grape Stomp where people are invited to take off their shoes, hop into the wooden barrel and see who can squeeze out the most juice from a measured weight of grapes.

There's definitely more to this than you imagine and technique and speed is definitely the key to success.

The winning team managed to extract more than two litres of juice in the allotted time.

There were a range of games available as well as a bouncy castle, train tours, bush fire brigade display, raffles and much more.

Four ACE photographers covered all the action at the event and this will provide the organisers with a large selection of images for the 2012 event publicity.
