  THE FREMANTLE PORTRAIT PRIZE
      RETROSPECTIVE EXHIBITION
 AND DALE NEILL'S WORKSHOPS

Our camera club is very keen to put Albany and the Great Southern on the photographic event and tour map by supporting and encouraging top events and exhibitions to come down to our region.

We're very pleased to be involved with Perth based photographer and educator Dale Neill, the Vancouver Arts Centre and the Museum of the Great Southern in bringing down, not one but two exciting photographic events to Albany during March.

Dale is highly regarded in the field of photography for his excellent workshops and courses on just about anything to do with photography.
I attended quite a few of Dale's courses in the early 90's when I first took up digital photography and I came away from each workshop with far more knowledge and enthusiasm to learn more than I ever thought possible.

Dale is running a series of workshops on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd of March and you can find out more on the Eventbrite page here....  https://www.eventbrite.com.au/d/australia--albany/dale-neill/?page=1

Dale is one of the founders of the Fremantle International Portrait Prize and a selection of the winners and finalists will be on show at the Museum of the Great Southern through March.

The quality of the work, the imagination and skill shown by the photographers is astonishing and a real inspiration if your're in any way interested in portraiture or just enjoy looking at world class photography.

At the same time, our club will be running a local portrait competition in conjunction with the Museum and we have some great prizes on offer.
There are two sections, on for adults and one for young photographers under the age of sixteen.

While you're visiting the Museum you can pick up an entry form to be in the running for an Instax Mini 9 camera and film pack, a Kata Lite camera bag or "Australia's West, a fantastic book on photography by entering your portrait photo/s online.
