Youth in Focus workshop
series 2 begins
We're very aware that as a club we need to keep re-inventing ourselves to stay relevant and maintain the widest possible membership base into the future.

Our club has always been very keen to use its resources to support community events and local artists and has regards the Youth in Focus program as being an excellent opportunity for us to make a meaningful contribution to bridging the age gap.
Many of the older generation often have a lifetime's experience and a genuine desire to share their knowledge because it's what we do..... or we should.

The young people generally have lots of energy, are not overly concerned with the rules and have a fresh way of looking at the world.
Added together, the benefits will be as good as the effort that we all put into it.
I've been really pleased with the positive response we receive from the people we meet around Albany during our photowalks and they've been really supportive when they find out about our project.
This program has such great potential in the sharing of skills, enthusiasm and very importantly building the confidence of our young people. The older members of our community are happy that their skills are being preserved and we have opened up the communication channels for the benefit of us all.
It's a win, win situation in action.
