THE CYANOTYPE PROJECT
The response to Colin's Home Made Cameras talk was overwhelming positive so we've asked him if he would do a repeat of the Cyanotype workshop that he did when ACE was AFUG shortly after the club started.

I've been asked on many occasions about having another workshop and Colin has kindly agreed to run another starting straight away.
Making cyanotype prints in the traditional way can't be compared to the results that come from digital processing no matter how good it might claim to be.
The richness and depth of the colour is unmatched and the 'one off' nature of the process makes every print unique, no two are the same.

Fortunately, ACE has it's own darkroom which enables us to do 'wet' processing of images without any problem.
Colin will be taking us through the process step by step allowing plenty of scope for creative effects and even further toning using additional processes.
Our club feels that it's important to help keep the traditional arts alive and provide as many alternative image processing options available for our members as we can.
As always, thanks to Colin for his enthusiasm and willingness to share his extensive knowledge on the traditional arts of photography so that we all may learn more.
