TAKING OUR PHOTOGRAPHY
TO NEW HEIGHTS

Our members love a challenge and climbing Bluff Knoll would be amongst the most testing we've ever faced.
Situated in the Stirling Ranges, Bluff Knoll stands 1099 metres ASL and is one of the few places in Western Australia to experience regular snowfall.

The climbers about to begin their trek up the mountain.
The climb takes around 3 to 4 hours at an average pace and is quite difficult in places due to the rocky and fairly steep terrain.
Conditions varied from cool to very windy to warm and calm as you circled the mountain on the way to the summit.

A small group of ACE club members met in the carpark on an Octoner sunny morning and left either for the summit or the less difficult areas around the base of the mountain.
By around lunchtime a group of six reached the summit where we enjoyed the view, had lunch and took photos.

Climbers at the summit.

It's a fairly strenuous climb but more than well worth the effort and something fairly substantial to cross of the bucket list if you live locally or are a visitor to the south of WA.

Members who reached the summit will be presented with a certificate at the next club meeting.
