NEW DARKROOM AND PROCESSING FACILITY.
Having a permanent darkroom and meeting place has been a problem for our club since we began almost one year ago. We have been fortunate to have had the free use of a couple of vacant
buildings around Albany but this has prevented us from establishing a permanent facility due to the uncertainty of tenure.
We are about to open our new darkroom and digital processing facility in the old hospital mortuary at the Vancouver Arts Centre which has been fitted out and ready to go with everything we need thanks to all the donated equipment we have received.
A big thank you to those who have generously provided us with the much needed hardware and materials.
The Vancouver Arts Centre has been extremely helpful in supporting our project and we look forward to working with them on future community projects and public events.
Our club will be holding regular nightly meetings at the Vancouver Arts Centre starting on the 3rd of February at 7:30pm in the Arts Room.
This will include print assessments, guest speakers, workshops and discussions on all photography related topics.
New members are always welcome.
LIBRARY EXHIBITION: Our club will be holding a print exhibition at the Albany Public Library commencing on the 17th of January.
This will also include a number of vintage cameras and photographs.
