                     CHANGING TIMES

There's no doubt that we're all facing an unprecedented time of change and readjustment.

From the club perspective the main issues most of us face relate to maintaining a sustainable income, increasing membership numbers, reducing overhead costs, simplifying administration and appealing to the widest demographic.

There are some encouraging signs emerging locally that the problem is beginning to be addressed and plans put in place to make the necessary changes.

Making more options available
Among our current priorities are to provide as wide a range of photographic options as possible, to take full advantage of today's technology, continue to build co-operation with local groups and organisations, grow membership, keep costs to a minimum, simplify administration and further develop the social aspects of our club.

There's no end of opportunities to update, innovate and adapt and this will be the key to survival and future growth.

From our perspective, recent initiatives put forward by the City of Albany, the Vancouver Arts Centre and the Bendigo Bank in establishing a series of community strategies is essential if we are to not only survive the current situation but come though it stronger and far more resilient then ever.

Our club will continue it's commitment to a non-competitive, community focused model and always remain adaptable and responsive to change as we make our way forward.
