Developments at the mortuary.

On Friday the 13th, some would say an ominous sign, we held our first film developing day at our new club darkroom at the Vancouver Arts Centre here in Albany.

Our club currently has a print exhibition at Kate's Place on Stirling Tce. where all the negatives were developed in coffee using a variety of old and new film cameras to record the images.

On Wednesday, the Albany Advertiser did an interview at Kate's and took some photos for an article in the Agenda section of Thursdays paper.

Coffee developing has opened up a whole new area where we can experiment with different brands of coffee, films and various processes to come up with a range of creative and unique images.

Experimental photography has generated quite a bit of interest and on Friday, Karla from our local ABC paid us a visit to take photographs of the process and find out more about the background story to it.

It seems that club members have developed 'a bit of a taste' for alternative processing and it's certain that this one will be the first of an on- going series of similar projects.
