POLAROID PICS

POLAROID CAMERAS ARE BECOMING POPULAR AGAIN.

If you're suffering from digital fatigue but still want to see your image in hurry there's always the Polaroid option.
There are countless models available and many are capable of producing outstanding images.
I have a preference for the old folder types and this photo was taken with a model 440 that uses peel apart film packs.
These are still readily available from Fujifilm and the film type is FP-100c.   The colours are really true to life and another big advantage of the peel apart is that you have a negative as well as a positive.
By using a simple process of chemical clearing, the resulting negative can be scanned or put through a normal photographic enlarger.
There is also the opportunity to do an emulsion lift and transfer the image onto another surface.
AFUG will be holding a workshop on how to do this shortly.

If you have one in the cupboard or pick one up at a garage sale or auction, they are a nice alternative and versatile way of producing a photograph.
