WORLD PINHOLE DAY

The Stirling Tce band rotunda.

A small group of pinholers hit the streets of Albany on Sunday for the 2014 World Pinhole Photography Day.
Pinhole cameras used were either 120 roll or 4x5 format with several different designs in use.

This shot taken by AFUG member Ric was taken with a camera made from 100mm drain pipe.  The film plane is curved around one side of the pipe with the shutter/pinhole placed on the opposite side.

A 5 minute exposure on Fomapan 100 4x5 film was required to capture this image and some reflections from sun glinting off the windows and trim of passing cars can be seen in the center of the image.

Quite a few interest was shown in our cameras from passers by and the outing generated quite a bit of amusement for the locals and tourists.
